Cambridge Patient Day – 14th June 2012

FAO kidney cancer patients and their families or carers,

The James Whale Fund for Kidney Cancer Patient Day

The James Whale Fund for Kidney Cancer would like to invite you to a Kidney Cancer Patient Day on Thursday 14th June at the Imperial War Museum, Duxford

This is an ideal opportunity for kidney cancer patients and their families or carers to learn more about kidney cancer, to meet others with an interest in kidney cancer and to ask questions of the healthcare professionals and key opinion leaders working with kidney cancer patients.

Professor Tim Eisen, Professor of Oncology at the University of Cambridge and Addenbrooke’s Hospital, will be chairing the meeting.

During the morning session, there will be presentations on new treatments for kidney cancer, kidney cancer surgery, the role of the clinical nurse specialist, dietary considerations for kidney cancer patients and patient
support from some of the UK’s leading kidney cancer specialists.

The afternoon session will give delegates the opportunity to engage with a panel of kidney cancer experts, patients and healthcare professionals in a Question and Answer session.

Lunch and refreshments will be provided throughout the day, and there is free admission to the Imperial War Museum after the Question and Answer session.

This promises to be a very interesting and exciting day and we sincerely hope you can join us.

For further information and to register online, please visit the James Whale Fund website at Alternatively,
please email John Chapman at or ring 0844 474 5050 and ask for a Cambridge Patient Day registration form.

We look forward to meeting you!
